Sto synthetic stucco — also known as Sto Acrylic Stucco —
is a high-performance finishing system designed to be flexible, durable, and crack-resistant, unlike traditional cement stucco. Instead of cement-based materials, Sto uses advanced acrylic coatings that hold color longer, resist fading, and maintain a clean, smooth appearance for years. The Sto process is straightforward and premium:
1. Reinforcing Mesh for strength and movement resistance.
2. Base Coat to bind the mesh and create a solid foundation.
3. Primer to seal the surface and enhance color uniformity.
4. Acrylic Finish Coat for the final texture, color, and protection.

LaHabra Stucco Color Process
LaHabra stucco uses a cement-based color finish, where the pigment is blended directly into the material rather than applied on top like paint. Because the color goes through the mix, the finish won’t peel or flake over time. You start by choosing a shade from LaHabra’s color chart, and the pigment pack is then mixed into the finish coat for even, consistent color.
The material is hand-troweled onto the wall in your desired texture, creating a natural, earthy look that complements any home. It’s important to know that LaHabra is a porous product, meaning it absorbs moisture and breathes naturally. This is what gives traditional stucco its authentic appearance, but it also means the final color can vary depending on weather, curing conditions, and how the wall dries.
